May your family and friends enjoy the best the holiday season has to offer...

Welcome to the Oregon Chapter IAEI website

Welcome to the new and improved web site. Please browse the various links and features to see what is new and exciting.

December is Membership Month!

The Oregon Chapter of IAEI hopes that you have had a productive and rewarding 2008. With this year coming to an end quickly, it’s time to look to the future.

Many things are changing in the inspection and electrical industries. To be a competent inspector and installer, the ONLY thing that will keep you competitive in today’s market is Education, period. The International Association of Electrical Inspectors is the leading developer, provider and publisher of comprehensive electrical training materials and courses.

How has IAEI become this leader? Through IAEI’s membership. Members are the backbone of the IAEI. Your membership is one that is valued and respected in the electrical industry.
As a member, you know the value!
• Educational seminars
• IAEI training publications, such as, Soares Book on Grounding and Bonding, the 2008 Analysis of Changes, Ferm’s Fast Finder, and more
• IAEI News magazine
• IAEI Weekly Update
• IAEI NFPA 70 National Electrical Code Panel members
• IAEI’s direct involvement in making code proposals and comments.
• IAEI participation on Codes and Standards committees. IAEI members have a voice and good path to bring change to the NEC and other standards
• CEI inspector certifications
• International office involvement in organizations and policy groups, representing the membership, affecting the electrical construction industry, such as, NFPA, NRTLs, ICC, IBEW, IEC and many more

To insure the future of safe electrical installations for the end user, IAEI needs your support in continuing your membership and in helping grow this vital organization. If you know of an inspector, contractor, electrician, engineer or manufacturer that should belong to IAEI, sign them up, invite them to an educational seminar or contact the membership chair of your local chapter. As of January 1, 2009, at $8.50 a month, ($102/yr), an IAEI membership guarantees that safe electrical installations will continue through positive and comprehensive education. No other provider is better at delivering this information than the International Association of Electrical Inspectors!

Stay tuned for member sponsor incentives coming the first of the New Year. Don’t forget that IAEI has many different ways to belong. For those on a monthly budget, use IAEI ACH withdrawal of $8.50/mo directly from your checking account, it’s safe and secure. Or use your credit card for a one-time annual payment, or by a one-time annual check. Also, your International office continues to look at new publications and services to benefit you, the member.

Thank you for being a member and sponsoring a new one and have a great New Year!

At IAEI, your voice is heard through membership...
